Hello 👋🏻, I'm Aakanksha, a CSE grad 2023 (Gold Medalist), and I currently work as an SWE II at Red Hat.

I'm a part of Kubernetes Release Team and I have contributed to numerous open source projects and mentored over 100 individuals, helping them kickstart their open-source journey through various programs.

🎙️ I have delivered several talks both nationally and internationally on accessibility, secure application logging and contributor experience improvement. I'm a LiFT’23 scholar, recognized under the Women in Open Source category amongst the top 500 scholars globally.

Throughout my journey in the tech industry and freelancing, I’ve had the opportunity to work on innovative technologies and solve real-world challenges. I enjoy visualizing and designing efficient solutions that are both practical and scalable.

As a former GitHub Campus Expert, I actively uplifted my local community by organizing workshops and webinars with GitHub’s support.

    Delivered talks on accessibility and improving contributor experience in Brno, Czech Republic.

  • Kubernetes v1.33 Release Team Comms Shadow

    Coordinating communications deliverables, including release blogs, feature blogs, and press activities, while collaborating with CNCF and SIGs.

  • Speaker at DevConf IN 🇮🇳

    Delivered a talk on secure logging of applications in Pune, India.

  • The Linux Foundation Training Scholarship (LiFT'23)

    Recipient under the Women in Open-Source category amongst the top 500 scholars globally.

  • GitHub Campus Expert

    Selected among the top 65 Campus Experts from around 10,000 global applications and uplifted my local community with training, mentorship, and support from GitHub.

  • Certified as a Postman Student Expert.

  • Team Lead at Postman API Fest'22

    Led a team of 8 members to build a project of bus ticket booking system over MERN stack using REST API. It aimed at increasing API literacy among the participants.

  • Mentor at GSSoC'21

    Guided around 100+ participants to start their open-source journey and maintained a repository built over the MERN stack. Carried out code reviews to check the code quality of the PRs made by the participants.

    • Working with the Intelligent Experience Delivery team to integrate agentic AI workflows into the customer portal to accelerate query resolution and enhance customer experience.
    • Leading technical development of the Support Case MCP server, enabling AI agents to retrieve, create, and update support cases while ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and governance requirements.

    • Collaborated with the Experience Engineering team and migrated REST APIs to a federated GraphQL subgraph architecture, enhancing performance and query efficiency.
    • Worked with the UX Engagement and Engineering team to optimise and enhance applications by implementing new features and improving existing ones.
    • Led the efforts to migrate deprecated components to enhance accessibility and performance.
